For 10 years now we’ve been guiding people on walking short-breaks and holidays around Scotland and beyond.  Some of our most  popular offerings are our Ben Nevis Packages which allow people to climb the UK’s highest mountain, at any time of year, whilst letting us take care of the arrangements.  Our standard package includes:

  • Collection and drop-off at your point of arrival in Inverness, eg airport or railway station
  • Transport to & from the mountain
  • Ascent with qualified and experienced guide
  • Packed lunch for the climb
  • Use of ice axe & crampons in winter.

The two main routes up the mountain are the Pony Track and the Carn Mor dear Arete (CMD Arete for short).

The Pony Track is the route most people choose as it’s the most straightforward and best suited to those with limited hillwalking experience.  It take an average of 8 hours for the round trip and is achievable by most people  - enthusiasm, not high levels of fitness, is what is required.

The CMD Arete is a much more challenging route with some straightforward scrambling and usually takes a couple of hours longer than the Pony Track.  Those undertaking this route are rewarded, weather permitting, with fantastic views of the North Face of the Ben and the surrounding mountains  A good level of fitness and a head for heights are required for this outing.

In winter, the character of the mountain changes completely and ascents, even by the Pony Track, become much more demanding although ultimately more rewarding.  You’ll need an ice axe, crampons and a helmet for a winter ascent, although these are included in your package price.

This package is available for 1 to 4 people with prices as follows (package cost is in addition to your accommodation costs):

1 or 2 people - £230
3 people - £250
4 people - £270

We are able to arrange bespoke packages or packages for more than four people on request. Please get in touch for details.
